12345678910 Studio – Dnipro
“The area of our interest consists of the phenomena emerging in the environment poorly controlled by governing authorities. Our work at Kristianstads konsthall is based on the practice of demonstrative assistance from local politicians to their electorate. We are considering outdoor furniture as a tool for imitation of care, and transformations provoked by its use.”
12345678910 Studio (Yevhenii Obraztsov (b. 1993) and Anastasiia Omelych (b. 1996) is a collective whose practice is rooted in observations of various phenomena associated with the personalization and/or privatization of varyingly-governed public space in post-communist Ukraine, primarily in the so-called ‘sleep districts’ of their shared hometown of Dnipro. The duo channel their observations into cross-media interventions, which leverage their separate backgrounds in architecture and art. Obraztsov and Omelich live and work in Kyiv. Their work has been exhibited at PinchukArtCentre and Artsvit, amongst other locales.
