Freckles is the current series of portraits being documented by British photographer Brock Elbank, previously known in Kristianstad for his exhibit Beard. Elbank’s work celebrates human diversity, individualism and beauty.

”I’ve always loved freckles,” says Elbank. ”What I find interesting about individual characters that I have been fortunate enough to photograph is that many have struggled with their freckles since their infancy and either hated them, or grown to live with them or even like them in adulthood.”

Over 6500 people aged 3 to 76 have applied through social media to be a part of the project, and those chosen travelled at their own expense to London to be photographed in Elbank’s studio.

The exhibition shown at the Regional Museum will include people from Argentina, Australia, Bonaire, China, Colombia, England, Estland, France, Germany, Grenada, Hawaii, Holland, India, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Kuwait, Norway, Peru, Sierra Leone, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, St Lucia, Sweden, Switzerland, and USA.
